Device-to-Device (D2D) communication is considered to be a promising resource reuse technology for local users. Unlike the previous studies on centralized scheduling methods, we develop several distributed resource management schemes for D2D communication underlay cellular networks. In the distributed resource management framework, each D2D user independently decides the transmit resources and power. In this paper, we propose two efficient algorithms and demonstrate the distributed implementation. The first algorithm is based on the Lagrangian dual decomposition method, and aims at maximizing the sum-rate of D2D system. We design the second algorithm by game theory with the utility function to maximize the transmission rate with interference price. The convergence to the Nash equilibrium is proved and simulated. By numerical simulation, we evaluate the network throughput and power consumption of the proposed algorithms. It is proved that the proposed resource management schemes can satisfy the interference constraints and achieve high system capacity.
