摘要
Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is completing the principle research and development of an instrument that will assay samples of uranium metal debris and return the percent by weight of two of the constituent isotopes within a few hours. The instrument can be hand-carried in the field and can be transported on commercial airlines. The instrument is to be used by the International Atomic Energy field investigators to verify compliance with international national nuclear treaties.
