摘要：
Independent learning for college English can help foster independent learning abilities of students, but weaknesses still exist in researches on the computer aided system for independent learning that replaces feedback and exchanges between teachers and students. The independent learning system for college English based on semantics in the paper will aim to effectively improve college students' English levels and independent learning abilities. And the multi-agent system based on semantic web technologies can provide students with support in acquiring knowledge and effectively improve their college English levels in order to achieve centralized management of knowledge, highly dispersed operations and sharing of learning materials.
