WDM CSRZ 40 Gbit/s pseudo-linear transmission over 4800 km using optical phase conjugation

摘要
Experimental demonstration of 4800 km transmission of 4 x 40 Gbit/s CSRZ signals using optical phase conjugation for nonlinearity compensation is presented. This is a 50% increase in transmission reach compared to the system without spectral inversion. The optical phase conjugation was implemented using a single periodically poled lithium niobate in a re-entrant, recirculating loop.
