摘要
In most of the counties the demand for the power is growing, but building a new power line is not always the proper answer for the problem. System operator is mostly looking for solutions based on technical and economical compromise. There are several common types for current uprating of the power line. First and basic method for uprating is the recalculations of maximum load current for distinct type of conductor and line. Common calculation of load current is based on deterministic approach of weather conditions. It can easy become that, current weather conditions are too strict and that the probability of reaching all weather boundary conditions is extremely low. In this case system operator can choose to redefine of worst case scenario weather conditions as a best uprating method. This article deals with the idea of redefining the basic weather conditions, in Slovak republic defined by STN EN 50341-2-23: 2017, and shows the influence of their change on the maximum load current I-all for specific type of conductor.
