SYNTHESIS OF NEWER STEROIDAL PYRAZOLES AS PROSPECTIVE ANTIMICROBIAL AND ANTIINFLAMMATORY AGENTS

摘要
A series of newer steroidal pyrazoles (C(1)-C(4)) have been synthesized by the reaction of 3-chloro-cholest-2,4-dien-2-aldehyde with hydrazine hydrate, phenyl hydrazine, p-fluorophenyl hydrazine and 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazine respectively. The constitutions of all the compounds have been established by elemental analyses, FTIR and (1)H NMR spectral data. All the compounds were screened for their antimicrobial and antiinflammatory activity under identical conditions.
