摘要
In this study, the fracture properties of additively manufactured polymer parts are investigated by combination of experimental-numerical methods based on digital image correlation (DIC) measurements. One method uses only measured kinematic fields, and the other one is based on Finite Element simulations driven by measured boundary conditions. The developed methods are applied to a micro Single Edge Notched Tensile (mu SENT) specimen manufactured by Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). It is shown that both methods lead to consistent evaluations of the J-integral, and the crack tip location is accurately determined by the FE-based method. The kinematic maps obtained both numerically and experimentally allow some correlations to be established between the material microstructure and its mechanical properties. (C) 2020 The Authors.
