摘要
A high-order modulation technique has been widely used in satellite broadband communication and digital transmission over nonlinear satellite channels to meet the requirements of power and spectral efficiency. This paper investigates the performance of the Mary Amplitude-Phase Shift Keying (APSK) digital modulation in Additive White Gaussian Noise, and presents the basic modulation principle. In addition, the theoretical upper bound of SER (Symbol Error Rate) of high-order APSK is derived, while the performance of 64 APSK is also discussed. The theoretical analysis and simulation results indicate that the new technology can achieve the targets of providing higher data rates for usage at the existing bandwidth.
