摘要：
This is the first tutorial of a three-part series. The series discusses modem optimisation techniques applicable to power system problems and, by considering relevant examples, will explain some of the concepts, issues and terminology in this field. This first part gives an introduction to mathematical programming based methods. The second part will cover heuristic optimisation techniques, and the third part will consider full-scale power system applications.
