摘要
From 1975 when the governmental organization, the Central Animal Breeding Office (CABO) was established, until 1998, organization and managing of cattle breeding in Poland have been stable. Changes in the cattle population structure as well as the political and economic changes which have taken place during recent years have contributed to changes in breeding organizations. In 1998 the number of Regional Animal Breeding Offices decreased to six and the number of the AI stations decreased to four. In the near future the breeders will be responsible for breeding itself. The AI stations will be privatised and finally, they will work as the cooperatives of breeders. The present regional animal breeding offices and milk testing laboratories will have been strengthened to give the breeders' organization a good start for their activities.
