摘要
The new receptors 1 and 2 have been designed and synthesized where phenyl and naphthalene rings have been introduced in place of aliphatic chain in receptor 3 to achieve the pi-stacking interactions. These receptors show higher association constants with aromatic over aliphatic carboxylic acids compared to receptor 3 which preferably recognizes long chain aliphatic acid.
