Ultrasonic-Assisted Fabrication of Superhydrophobic Mg-Mn Layered Double Hydroxides Coating on ZK60 Magnesium Alloy and Its Properties

摘要
In this study, Mg-Mn layered double hydroxides (LDHs) films were prepared on the surface of magnesium alloy ZK60, and then superhydrophobic coatings (SH) were prepared by modification with myristic acid (MA) and ultrasonic assistance. Then, the composition and structure of the LDHs films and SH coatings were studied by x-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The corrosion resistance was characterized by electrochemical test and immersion test. The results showed that the static contact angle of the film prepared by the optimum process reached 149 degrees. Moreover, the corrosion current density decreased by an order of magnitude, and the low frequency impedance value increased by 30 times compared to the substrate. The results indicate that the superhydrophobic coating can effectively protect ZK60 in the corrosive medium.
