Carbon-Nanodots-Doped passivation defect for enhanced efficiency Perovskite Solar Cells

摘要
An effective organic-inorganic perovskite film is fabricated using carboxylic-acid and hydroxyl-rich carbon nanodots (CDs) to dope low-temperature solution-processed FACsPbI(3), which dramatically decrease its defects of perovskite crystal growth and film formation. Fabricated perovskite solar cells (PSCs) based on this CDs modified demonstrate an outstanding improvement in efficiency from 16.44% for PSCs without CDs up to 17.69%. These significant achievements are solely attributed to the filling of defects by carbon dots, which is also proven to help the passivation of traps/defects at the perovskite film and to promote the formation of highly crystallized perovskite, with an enhanced phase purity and uniformity over a large area.
