摘要
The Future House USA project is a demonstration project collaboratively developed by the Learn Green Foundation and Florida International University. The objective of this project is to showcase the application of "green" technology and "green" materials to residential construction. The 3,300 square feet house teems with interesting features such as the integration of the architectural innovations of Frank Lloyd Wright and Feng-Shui, the use of alternative energy, the application of SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) and a Web-based energy management system. The house has been built near the 2008 Olympic Village in Beijing, China. This paper intends to share the design and construction of the house, as well as the challenges to integrate many different technical components and collaborate with many different partners in a global and multi-cultural setting.
