摘要
Albania and Serbia are conterminous countries with a similar history and background. Both of the countries have through communism system, which a similarity related with their economy. Based on World Bank data, it is seen that the population of these countries has decreased and Serbia has a larger number of citizens than Albania. Their economic development is almost the same too. The questions that lead this research is related with PISA assessment: How is the education in these countries? Which country performs better in this assessment, Albania or Serbia? Our results will be taken based on PISA (Program of International Students Assessment) findings about these countries during the years. The comparison will be done in PISA 2009 and PISA 2012 because these are the assessment where both of the countries took part in the same time. These data are taken from OECD findings and analysis and it is seen that Serbian students perform better than Albanian students in every assessment.
