THE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR THE PROJECTED NSC KIPT NEUTRON SOURCE LINAC

摘要
The project of the control system of the powerful pulse electron linac for the NSC KIPT neutron source is discussed in the paper. The electron linac with 5 accelerating structures forms the beam with electron energy up to 150 MeV, 100 kW beam average power, 300 Hz pulse current maximum frequency, 3,2 mks pulse width. Beam current and beam position measurements, the linac system parameter control, modulator and klystron amplifier interlocking at the impermissible mode of operation, the current adjustment of the magnet system supply sources, the phase and power HF signal adjustment at the injection system will be secured by the control system. Particular attention is given to beam loss control at each linac pulse.
