摘要
It is common knowledge that economic health is one of the main elements conditioning the security of one nation. A state with a high level of security understood from a military perspective becomes vulnerable if the security understood from an economic perspective does not rise up to the mark. Globalization, through its mechanisms, manages to influence security, sometimes dramatically but not always in a safe or consistent manner, not only at a national but also at an international level. To be able to face the disadvantages brought about by globalization (not exactly a perfect construction), the state has to develop and consolidate its ability to determine its own economic priorities and rules governing the development of economic life and thus to prevent external dependences from going stronger and chances of integration into a world of interdependences from going weaker.
