摘要
The collapse of a cavitation bubble near a rigid boundary leads to many fascinating experimental observations, namely the change of the luminescence, the emission of multiple shock waves and the erosion of the boundary. In order to understand these phenomena, numerical results from full Navier-Stokes simulations incorporating surface tension [Ann. Rev. Fluid Mech, 31, 567-604 (1999)] are presented. Compressibility effects are emphasized by a detailed comparison of the calculated bubble shape evolution with experiment [J. Fluid Mech. 361,75-116(1998)].
