Study on the Electric Field Between the Electrodes of a Chamber for Pre-Sowing Treatment of Seeds

It is a known fact that artificial fertilizers are environmental pollutants. It has been established so far that the application of electromagnetic fields in the pre-sowing treatment of seeds has a positive effect on plant development. These treatments can reduce the need to use artificial fertilizers. Angel Kanchev University of Ruse has been conducting research in this field for many years. The pre-sowing treatment of seeds rich in fat was carried out in a chamber with plane electrodes. Models of the electric field in the chamber were constructed. The study of the models revealed that the shape of the working chamber walls created non-uniformity of the electric field strength in the area of the treated seeds. This is a precondition for uneven pre-sowing effect of the electric field. It has been proved that the design of the processing chamber requires optimization.
