摘要
A novel Pd supported on ZnO nanoparticles was readily synthesized and characterized. The amount of palladium on ZnO is 9.84 wt% which was determined by ICP analysis and atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). Percentage of accessible Pd as active catalyst is also estimated to 2.72% based on the thermogravimetric (TG) analysis. This nano-sized Pd/ZnO with an average particle size of 20-25 nm and specific surface area 40.61 m(2) g(-1) was used as a new reusable heterogeneous catalyst for direct hydrogenation and one-pot reductive amidation of nitro compounds without the use of any ligands under atmospheric pressure. The catalyst can be recovered and recycled several times without marked loss of activity. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
