摘要
Even the osteosynthesis in hand's bones fractures is well coded, due especially to the modern materials, when these are missing, or in uncommon clinical forms, the K-wire osteosynthesis remains an elective method in spite of the relative instability of the bone fragments. Analyzing 330 cases treated in 3 years, it was observed that the K-wire osteosynthesis techniques could be classified in four types: a) 2 wires in X, in V, in parallel, in secant arch; b) one wire c) multiple wires d) K- wire assisting other methods. In the great majority of cases it was obtained a good reduction (under radiographic control) with good and excellent functional recovery, only in 2% of cases was necessary a reintervention. These results underlined that the K-wire osteosynthesis is a versatile method and remains an important option to obtain good quality results.
