Hydro turbine technology contributing to power system stabilization

摘要
The performance of runner with splitter blades was focused in view of response improvement of hydro power plants. The runner optimization concept was redeveloped and the validation was confirmed by CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and model test. The strength resistance to fatigue failure was also confirmed. This runner design can be utilized to improve performance of existing hydro power plants as well as new plants.
