Sampling strategy for mineral nitrogen in a greenhouse soil

摘要
The mineral N-content in greenhouse soils is characterized by a high spatial variability, indicated by high CV values. Using the classical formula, at least 15 borings are needed to obtain an estimation of the mean value with an acceptable degree of precision (d = 20%) and significance level (l = 0.2). However, doubling precision needs a fourfold increase in sample numbers, indicating the importance of sampling in Nmin-determinations.
