Analysis of Industrial Technology Innovation Capability in China Based on Invention Patent in Force Index

摘要
The patent in force, especially the invention patent in force, is a new index of regional innovation capability and market competitiveness. With the patent agglomeration degree method, the article investigates the capability of the industrial technology innovation of China's provinces and regions. This method involves two dimensions: regional agglomeration degree and industry agglomeration degree. The results of this study show that most advanced industrial technology innovation regions are centered in the Southeast Coastal Zone of china and Beijing. Besides, a small number of provinces in midland are competitive. This article also analyses the specialty industries of 8 provinces and regions.
