The behavior of hydrogen flames, because of the high fundamental flame velocity of hydrogen, is particularly sensitive to the presence of turbulence-inducing features such as obstacles, especially if flame propagation occurs in a restricted volume such as tubes and narrow gaps [1]. We present finite-volume simulations of hydrogen-air flame propagation in the presence of simple obstacles in order to light on the interaction of flames with obstacles.
