摘要
This paper proposes a method to steer the beam of antenna array by loaded dielectric lens. The particular application demands the array has maximum gain and distinct beam point but the traditional methods are unallowable, such as phaser. Consequently, Dielectric lens loading is put forward to realize the demand. The effect of parameters of the dielectric lens is studied firstly. Then, the paper researches a rectangular slot antenna array with 36 units in line working in P band. The array can be achieved the gain as high as 14.3dB with the maximum point at 0 degree. A dielectric lens is designed to cover the array to steer the beam to 5 degree in demand successfully with the gain slight higher to 14.7dB for its beam width turning to be a little narrow. The simulation results illustrate the method is valuable.
