摘要
The cross-flow oscillation of a rectangular cylinder supported by a cantilever plate-spring system was investigated using a wind tunnel. Three kinds of supports were tested which introduce different relationships between the geometrical attack angle and cylinder displacement. Three rectangular cylinders with the slenderness of b/d=0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 were used to investigated the influence of geometrical attack angle on Kàrmàn vortex excitation and galloping. The effect of attack angle fluctuation strongly depends on the slenderness b/d and φ and it is stronger on galloping than on Kàrmàn vortex excitation.
