Current status of infrared detectors and focal plane arrays

摘要
In this article, some of the recent developments in infrared detectors and focal plane arrays are reviewed. Both thermal and photon detectors are compared and recent results are discussed. In photon detectors, several material systems, including II-VI, III-V and quantum wells are reviewed. Some of the new III-V material systems for infrared detectors are discussed in more detail with experimental results. Applications of the III-V material systems for uncooled photodetectors and focal plane arrays are also discussed.
