摘要：

In this paper, we propose to use social media as a tool for writing teaching. We defend that media such as social networks, blogs, forums, etc. can become arenas for promoting writing practices that may help students with different backgrounds to acquire writing skills. By taking into account the specific linguistic features and constraints of social media, we discuss the benefits that social media may have for writing instruction.
