摘要
This paper discusses a network theory prospective of a power converter system used in consumer electronics devices (CED). As step-down buck converters are most widely used topology in this field of application, their operation is discussed in this paper. A power converter works as a system with power stage and controller working as a single unit. The power stage is designed to process power at higher voltage/current and the controller forces the converter system to behave like a voltage or current source. The paper also tries to relate fundamental network theory rules to a power converter operation.
