摘要
This paper describes an Improving effect of a resistive-type superconducting fault current limiter (R-type SCFCL) on the electric power system stability. Experiments with the power transmission simulator as well as the computer simulations were carried out. We observed the current limiting behavior of the R-type SCFCL for three-phase short-circuit fault and the suppressing process of the power swing after the clearance of the fault. It is ascertained that the R-type SCFCL introduced near the generator bus can significantly suppress the fault current and improve power system transient stabilities.
