摘要：
The article describes the concept of intelligent integrated management system (IIMS). The first part of the article describes the main features of the integrated management system based on ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards. A large portion of text in the first part of the article consists of requirements of the given standards in the terms of process improvement. In the following paper the characteristics of intelligent integrated management system are thoroughly described. Intelligent system has been characterized as a system that includes an original concept of the mechanism of organizational improvement. The mechanism is presented as a model of procedure, which is based on the proven concepts of management: knowledge management (KM) and learning organization. The next section of the article contains a set of conditions shaping the improvement of organization's efficiency. This sections based on research conducted in 3 selected industrial enterprises in Poland. Based on the results of the test, certain recommendations were formulated in order to improve the efficiency of the process of improving the integrated management systems.
