摘要
Burkholderia pseudomallei and mallei are biological agents of military significance. There has been significant research in recent years to develop medical countermeasures for these organisms. This review summarizes work which details aspects of the pathogenesis of B. psuedomallei and mallei and discusses key scientific questions and directions for future research.
