The Applied Research of Puncture of CTC Verified Based on Hardware Co-Simulation

摘要
The coding rate greatly affects the efficiency of information transmission. Since the coding rate of Convolutional Turbo Code (CTC) encoder in 802.16e standard is 1/3, the puncturing should be performed to produce various rates which meeting to the system requirement. This paper presents a puncturing scheme based on Look-Up-Table method. The data from CTC encoder is interleaved firstly, and then truncated. The scheme was implemented in the FPGA board and verified based on a hardware co-simulation platform. The results show that the implementing complexity of the scheme is low. It also has superior performance. And the process of simulation highlights the superiority of the hardware co-simulation.
