摘要：
This article discusses the wrist and hand deformities associated with rheumatoid arthritis and the treatment options available to the patient. The goals of surgical treatment of this disease are to reduce pain, retard progression of the disease, and preserve or restore form and function. Considerations include conservative therapy, indications for surgery, and expected outcomes.
