摘要
The impact and dynamic behavior of a single droplet impinged on a solid surface has been extensively researched because of the natural processes and the potential of these phenomena in a wide range of application such as liquid atomization industry. However, there is a still lack of understanding on effects of hydrophobic surface with texturing nanoscaled structures. To understand the droplet impact behavior on hydrophobic surface with different well-scaled structures, the present study showed the investigation into the effects nanoscaled structures, created for hydrophobic characteristics, on the impact behavior of water droplets. We performed drop impact experiments on the fabricated surfaces to compare transitional behavior and drop impact characteristics by measuring static and dynamic contact angles. It was found that the dynamic impact behavior of the droplets was more influenced by the correlation of surface characteristics with varying wettability between the vapor pressure and pattern shapes of the well-scaled surfaces.
