A cross-national investigation of firearm availability and lethal violence

摘要：
In a cross-national investigation of 14 nations, the proportion of households owning a firearm was significantly related to the proportion of suicides committed with a gun and the rate of suicides carried out with a gun. However, there was little statistical evidence of an association between firearm availability and homicide.
