Electric and magnetic field measurements in the Scandinavian auroral zone with quasistationary balloons

摘要
Electric and magnetic fields have been simultaneously measured on board 3 balloons in the INTERBOA multi-instrument balloon campaign. The balloons floated around Kiruna (Sweden) at a height between 31 km and 36 km during the turn around of the winds of August 96, giving an amount of more than 100 hours of highly correlated data. Giant electric field oscillations with a period of 30-60 mn are revealed by these long duration flights. (C) 2000 COSPAR. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
