摘要
Existing works on adaptive coding and modulation (ACM) assume the availability of accurate channel state information at the satellite transmitter. However, due to the time-varying channel fading and the huge round-trip delay in the mobile satellite systems, the application of the adaptive method is greatly limited. In order to solve this problem, this paper presents an ACM scheme based on the partial channel information of mobile satellite link and derives an optimized adaptive strategy and power allocation method, where the transmitter adaptively chooses modulation and coding mode based on the line-of-sight channel information of the reverse link and the channel statistical information of the forward link This method overcomes the limitation of the conventional ACM schemes and the simulation results also show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
