摘要
It is important to use cognitive strategies with the support of information technology to improve the level of English teaching in higher vocational education. Therefore, this paper first explores domestic scholars' relevant research on cognitive strategies used in English teaching, which focuses on the cognitive strategies only applied into one of English learning contents, such as reading, listening or vocabulary. Their research has not analyzed the ways of applying cognitive strategies into comprehensive English language learning. Their research scope is limited. Then, this paper expounds the concrete contents and function of cognitive strategies and their application methods in overall higher vocational English teaching against problems that exist in current higher vocational English teaching in China under the environment of the information technology, so as to improve the level of higher vocational English teaching and cultivate English talents for social needs.
