Experimental and calculated properties in binary and ternary systems with water, 1,4-dioxane and diethylene glycol at 298.15 K

摘要
The kinematic viscosities and the densities of three binary liquid mixtures: water+ 1,4-dioxane, water+diethylene glycol, and 1,4-dioxane+diethylene glycol, as well as of the corresponding ternary mixture water+1,-4dioxane,+diethylene glycol were measured at 298.15K over the whole range of the mixture compositions. In order to see how some models in the literature work for these mixtures, the experimental data for binary and ternary mixtures were correlated by means of McAllister, Soliman, Heric, Redlich-Kister, and NRTL/v2 models, It could be seen that the calculated viscosities agree well with the experimental measurements. The excess properties of binary and ternary systems above mentioned were calculated and fitted by means of the Redlich-Kister's equations.
