摘要
The first synthesis of motif A, the branched chain arabino-furanosyl pentasaccharide [t-beta-Araf-(1 --> 2)-alpha-D-Araf](2)- 3,5-alpha-D-Araf-(1 --> 5) which constitutes the major humoral immunological epitope in the arabinogalactan cell wall of Mycobacterium tuberculosis is described.
