Diastolic function of left and right heart ventricles during fasting dietetic therapy in coronary heart disease

30 patients with left ventricle diastolic dysfunction, with angina pectoris class II-III were studied during 14-21 days of food deprivation treatment and subsequent dietotherapy. Left and right ventricles diastolic function was assessed by 2D- and Doppler-echocardiography. 15 patients with gastroenterological pathology treated by fasting dietetic therapy but free of heart and lung diseases were selected as control group. Signed that no any abnormal data in the left and right ventricles diastoric function during treatment in the control group were observed. In patients with angina pectoris significant improvement and reduction of used coronaroactive drugs were obtained. Doppler studies evaluated that during the treatment improvement of left ventricle diastolic dysfunction was significant in cases with normal right ventricle function and improved a little in cases of right ventricle diastolic dysfunction.
