摘要
Linear and nonlinear absorption of a series of new donor-pi-acceptor polymethines with different lengths of conjugation are investigated and include quantum chemical analysis. Two-photon absorption cross-sections as large as 11,000 GM and solvatochromism are observed. (C) 2009 Optical Society of America
