Excellent strength-ductility synergy in as-cast Al0.6CoCrFeNi2Mo0.08V0.04 high-entropy alloy at room and cryogenic temperatures

摘要
The Al0.6CoCrFeNi2Mo0.08V0.04 high-entropy alloy was prepared by vacuum induction melting. The alloy presented dendrite and inter-dendrite microstructure and showed excellent strength-ductility synergy at room and cryogenic temperatures. At room temperature, the yield strength reached 400 MPa while the elongation exceeded to 39%. With the decrease of temperatures, the yield strength, fracture strength, and the elongation were all improved. The maximum yield strength reached 560 MPa at -196 degrees C and the elongation exceeded 42%. The fracture mechanism was mainly a dimple-type ductile fracture. (C) 2021 Elsevier B.V.
