Picture books can represent a great point to do philosophy with children. In the dynamic between text and pictures - which is the constitutive figure of this literary genre - can be opened a space, where is possible to express unreleased and always new hypotheses. Once the connection between philosophy and picture books has been established, the article explores the possibility of a philosophical practice that allows children to experience, through games and playful dynamics, the truth told by the story, reworking it freely, without constraints built by the adult. In the final part of the article, three picture books (plus one) are suggested, which can be read from a philosophical point of view.
