X-ray profile refinement study of the PrBa2Cu4O8 compound

摘要
The compound PrBa2Cu4O8 were prepared under ambient oxygen pressure. Its structure of PrBa2Cu4O8 has been refined from X-ray powder diffraction data by the Rietveld method. The major phase of the product were confirmed to be PrBa2Cu4O8, with four minor impurity phases confirmed. The multiphase refinement process determines weight fractions of all the phases. Refined cell parameters of PrBa2Cu4O8 in the orthorhombic space group Ammm, are: a = 3.8901(1)Angstrom b = 3.9041(2)Angstrom, and c = 27.3219(1)Angstrom. Characterization of this compound by electrical resistivity and magnetization are also reported.
