摘要
Prompt gamma radiation following spontaneous fission of Cm-248 has been measured using the EUROGAM 2 array. The efficient detector and newly developed analysis techniques allowed detailed studies of excited levels in known and newly found fission fragments up to spin I = 20, using 20 billion triple-gamma coincidences collected in the experiment. In this report we discuss the new experimental techniques and present briefly the results obtained from this measurement. Some new data on octupole deformation, shape transition in A approximate to 100 region and nanosecond isomers are discussed in a greater detail. Further measurements of fission fragments are proposed, which could be performed with the newly proposed arrays such as MINIBALL or EUROBALL, equipped with dedicated ancillary detectors.
