On the performance of a medium access control scheme for the reconfigurable wireless networks

摘要
In this paper, we propose a MAC protocol for ad-hoc network architecture, termed by us the Reconfigurable Wireless Networks, and investigate its network capacity. We discuss the access synchronization and the construction of network connections features of the MAC protocol. Using event-driven simulation, we evaluate the performance of the scheme, demonstrating its behavior for different parameters of the mobility, traffic, and propagation models.
