摘要
The paper, through falsification, evaluates the necessity of the preposition of "Sustainable Development of Chinese Publishing Industry". Because it is very difficult to say that the whole industry exists in the pure form of a nation or a country. "Chinese publishing industry" cannot clearly stands for "the national one", "the one with Chinese nationality", "the one owned by Chinese capital" or "the one with Chinese blood in the global scale". It is, to a certain extent, of great significance to adopt "sustainable development" to a specific industry relevant to the whole development. However, it does not mean that the development of any industry hag the research value on "sustainable development". All kinds of public information needed by the mass through the publishing carrier are in the increasing rather than decreasing state. The whole publishing industry develops with the development of society and the increase for the cultural as well as information consumption. Hence, it will never appear such problems as the development crisis of the whole publishing industry, not to mention the sustainable development of the whole publishing industry. The paper proposes that the development of publishing industry and the development of human beings are interrelated with each other. As long as human beings are in the status of sustainable development, the needs for publicly producing and distributing information are inevitably in the status of "sustainable development", which leads to the status of "sustainable development" of publishing industry. The needs are represented at most in the diversification of carrier forms. Therefore, the sustainable development of publishing industry should not be specially discussed.
